Two soundtracks for 20th Century Fox films scored by Hugo Friedhofer. IN LOVE AND WAR (1958)(24:34 min.) is part of unofficial World War II trilogy tackled by composer in late fifties. Powerhouse "Main Title" launches action, introspective dramatic material follows, moving "Requiem" and "End Titles" usher strong finish. WOMAN OBSESSED (1959)(48:40 min.)offers powerful outdoor style score with generous dose of dynamic action, sweeping thematic material. Complete score to WOMAN OBSESSED appears in sequence; all available score cues from IN LOVE AND WAR appear as well; happily including latter film's near-legendary opening titles for full orchestra (including massive brass and percussion section) plus complete closing sequence. Both scores presented in spectacular stereo from original Fox master elements in superb condition!
